Psalm 47

1 Clap your hands ,all you nations ;

shout to God with cries of joy .

2 How awsome is the Lord Most High ,

the great King over all the earth !

3 He subdued nations under us ,peoples under our feet .

4 He chose our inheritance for us ,

the pride of Jacob ,whom He loved .

5 God has ascended amid shouts of joy , the Lord amid the sounding of

trumpets .

6 Sing praises to God ,sing praises ;

sing praises to our King ,sing praises .

7 For God is the King of all the earth ;

sing to Him a psalm of praise .

8 God reigns over the nations ;

God is seated on His holy throne .

9 The nobles of the nations assemble

as the people of the God of Abraham ,

for the kings of the earth belong to God ;He is greatly exalted .

Acts 3:19-23

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you--even Jesus. He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. For Moses said, 'The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. Hebrews 12:7-10

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. Hebrews 12:7-10 NIV
